WHEN WAS THE MAXI LISTING GROUP FORMED?

It was formed in 1996 and has grown from 8 Estate agencies only active in Brackenfell to 28 agencies in 2021. In early 2022 we started expanding into Durbanville, Bellville, Kuils River and Kraaifontein. We are now almost 50 Property Practitioners Businesses with more than 400 Property Practitioners covering all of the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

WHAT IS THE MAXI LISTING GROUP?

It is a group of Residential Property Practitioner Businesses (estate agencies) active in the Northern suburbs of Cape Town and the surrounding area. Based on a co-operation agreement contained in the constitution, under a global name, in good faith, maintain a healthy working relationship between the various Property Practitioner Businesses in a structured manner. These Property Practitioners Businesses open some of their Sole Mandate to the rest of the group to assist with marketing to benefit the clients. The group focuses on consumer protection, healthy ethics, compliance and industry training to the advantage of the consumer.

SELLERS: WHY SHOULD I PLACE MY PROPERTY ON MAXI LISTING?

Maxi Listing allows sellers to market their properties through greater exposure through more than one Property Practitioner Business (Estate agencies) with the security and advantages of a Sole Mandate and only dealing with one agency directly if they choose. Communication with one Property Practitioner will be relayed immediately to all the members.

 As soon as the property is placed on Maxi, the agencies work together on an ethical set of rules as set out in their constitution. If the seller needs an extra price estimation, the listing agent will arrange with the other members and present the seller with an average price estimation from the Maxi members.

BUYERS: WHY SHOULD I MAKE USE OF AN MAXI LISTING AGENT?

Maxi Listing allows buyers to communicate with Property Practitioners with high ethical standards and more properties to share. He who controls the stock controls the market!! Buyers can view some of the properties on our website without duplication.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

We are active in the Northern suburbs of Cape Town and the surrounding area, including (but not limited to) Parow, Goodwood, Panorama, Plattekloof, Durbanville, Brackenfell, Bellville, Kuilsriver and Kraaifontein.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN MAXI LISTING?

It allows Property Practitioner Businesses to have more properties available, market their sole mandates more widely, evaluate marketing prices and create a platform to obtain sole mandates.
It creates the opportunity to keep up to date with industry information, discounted training and assistance to comply with all applicable Acts and the PPR's Code of Conduct as enforced by the PPRA.

It is a great networking and referral platform with not only other Property Practitioners but with other industry role-players. Maxi is hosting social events to enjoy networking and building relations with essential industry partners in the area.

WHO should JOIN MAXI LISTING?

New members must be active for at least six months in the area and be registered with the PPRA as a Property Practitioner Business.

They should have a local principal and agents that focus on one or more of the areas of the Northern Suburbs of the City of Cape Town. The principal becomes the member on behalf of their agency.

HOW TO JOIN MAXI LISTING?

The principal of a registered Property Practitioner Business must submit the Maxi application form and the relevant documents. After receiving the application for new membership, the coordinator will e-mail a request to all Maxi principals (who are the members) to accept/reject the application through a set process.

If no objections are submitted, the application will be deemed successful. The applicant will be welcomed and be able to enjoy all the advantages of the Maxi Group and online agent portal. There is a small monthly membership fee payable by members. Training events and consultations are not mandatory but are offered at a discounted tariff or free.
